In September 14-20 Konstantin Lopushansky will take part as the head of jury in the "SHORT FILM FESTIVAL IN DRAMA", Greece.

In July Konstantin Lopushansky became a voting member of European Film Academy (EFA).

K.Lopushansky has been asked to head the jury of the Tarkovsky Movie Festival to be held between May 26 and June 1, 2008, in the great director's native towns of Ivanovo and Yurievetz.

May 23, 2008, the film "The Ugly Swans" will get shown during a special event to school graduates of the city as a part of the end-of-school festivities.

April 14-17, 2008, a Russian-Belgian schooling festival was held in Brussels, under the motto "Another generation, other names". The Russian program was presented at that forum of European movie institutes by K.Lopushansky's class (The St.Petersburg Movie and TV Institute). Also within the framework of that event, Mr.Lopushansky conducted a master-class at the Brussels INSAS.

April 8, 2008, K.Lopushansky's book "The Russian Symphony" was introduced to the readers at the Moscow Cinema Union. Present were the leading Moscow movie critics and representatives of mass media. A nice surprise was the arrival of a legendary Russian actress Tatyana Samoylova ("The Flying Cranes"); it appeared, she was a fan of that director's work.

The well-known "R.U.S.C.I.C.O" company has produced DVDs intended for collectors; the
disks contain "The Ugly Swans" with subtitles in all main European languages. Included
have been bonus packs telling about the shooting process and Constantine Lopushansky's
work. The sales are to start in March.

March 05, 2008, The St.Petersburg Movie-Makers' Union held a presentation of
Constantine Lopushansky's book "The Russian Symphony ("Aleteya Press", 2008)
containing his prose and scripts written in 1987-2007, and also selected interviews,
press reviews. Included have been 100 high-quality photographs: stills, shots taken at
filming, etc. The sales are to start early in March.

February 28, 2008, Constantine Lopushansky was awarded the diploma of the People's
Artist in Smolny.

December 28, 2007, Constantine Lopushansky was pronounced the People's Artist of the
Russian Federation by a presidential decree.
